Keith W. Childs
CEO / Financial Consultant

Keith is the founding member of Athena Wealth Management. He was born in Athens, Georgia and raised in nearby Watkinsville and has been a lifelong resident of the Athens area. Keith holds Series 7, 9, 24, 31, and 63 licenses with LPL Financial Services as well as Life, Health and Annuities licenses with the state of Georgia. He is a wealth advisor working with a select group of clients that include affluent individuals and families, executives, and business owners. Keith has been a financial consultant for nineteen years. Prior to the founding of Athena Wealth Management, Keith worked for Morgan Stanley as a Vice President.

While obtaining his degree from the University of Georgia, Keith met his wife Toni and they were married in 1990. Keith enjoys spending time with her and their four children and all six in the Childs clan are die-hard UGA Bulldog fans.


 

 







Tom J. Elliot
Financial Consultant

Tom began his wealth management career with Morgan Stanley and also worked with Smith Barney before joining Athena Wealth Management in 2005. His goal with the firm is to guide both businesses and individuals in reaching their dreams and objectives. Tom accomplishes this through a combination of innovative financial, estate, and insurance planning tools. Tom holds securities licenses 7, 31, 63 and 65 with LPL Financial Services as well as health, life, and annuity licenses with the State of Georgia.

A native of San Diego, Tom now resides in Athens Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia and received degrees in both Finance and Hotel & Restaurant Management. His hobbies are most outdoor sports including golf, boating and surfing.

 

 

 

Sarah Griffin Donegan
Managing Insurance Partner

Sarah is a native Athenian who now resides in neighboring Oconee County with her husband and two children.  Sarah attended Valdosta State College where she majored in Business Management.  

Sarah began her insurance career with Nationwide Insurance.  Prior to joining Athena Wealth Management and Athena Benefit Group she ran Agents Brokers and Counselors LLC an independent insurance agency.  Sarah's success is based on her dedication to provide first class customer service for all of Athena Benefits clients

Sarah holds licenses in property and casualty as well as life and health insurance.


  
  George Griffin
Managing Partner

George is from the Hahira/Valdosta Georgia area. He has been living in the Athens area for twenty years and has been married to Marylou Griffin for thirty-one years.  They have raised three wonderful daughters and have two grandchildren with one on the way.

Before entering the insurance industry George was the manager of Commercial Sales Division in Northeast Georgia for seventeen years. George uses his twenty-eight years of management skills to provide Athena Benefit Groups clients first class customer service and the best commercial and residential rates available.

George enjoys biking, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren in addition to his time spent with his loving wife.


  
 

Bruce Watkins
Financial Services Professional

A native of Midway Georgia located on the beautiful Georgia coast Bruce has been in Athens since 1987 where he attended the University of Georgia and majored in political science. With over 13 years in Financial Services and the Property and Casualty insurance Market Bruce can meet the needs of both individual as well as business clientele. Prior to joining Athena Bruce was a partner with the mass mutual financial group.

Bruce and his wife Carol who have been married for fifteen years live in the Athens area with their two children. He is very active in the Athens Business Community where he is an active member of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce as well as a member of the Athens Touchdown Club. Bruce and his family enjoy spending time on the Georgia Coast as well as tailgating on North Campus before UGA football Games.
